Henry Clarke & sons started in 1906 making bird cages which were delivered by horse and cart, along with wire baskets for handlebars on pushbikes. In later years we won the contract to make wire refrigerator shelves for Silen Knight kerosesn refrigerators. Sline Knight was owned by Sir Edward Hallstrom, the main benefactor of Sydney. He contracted us to build cages for most of the animal enclosures throughout the zoo. Proudly, we still retain this contract to-day over fifty years later.
As time moved on we were manufacturing Chainwire and we won a contract to build a copper Chainwire shark net across Coogee beach and other nets on local ocean swimming pools.
During the war years we made thousands of pipe frame and Chainwire base folding wire beds for the Australian Army
We also made wrought iron railing and wind guards mainly in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
We provide FREE QUOTES and install and supply across Sydney for all types of Chainwire Fencing.
Our business to-day is Chainwire Fencing only. We have contracts with Government departments and building companies. We install pipe and Chainwire cages for builders in new blocks of units and temporary fencing around building sites. We are the preferred contractor for Sydney Airport Corp Ltd and all companies who work at the airport. Port Botany has numerous companies which contract us to for their security Chainwire Fencing.
